Eleven Wireless Honored as 2004 Venture All Star
Company honored as one of the Top Venture-Backed Companies in the Pacific Northwest
Seattle, Wash. and Portland, Ore. (June 4, 2004) -- Eleven Wireless,
an emerging provider of Wi-Fi operations software, was named a 2004
Venture All Star by the Investment Forum on Friday. Venture All Star
recognition is one of the most recognized awards for companies in the
Northwest venture capital community. The companies recognized are those
that the local venture investing community believe have demonstrated
the ability to be a successful growth business.
"Being named as a 2004 Venture All Star company is a tremendous
honor," said Josh Friedman, Chief Executive Officer of Eleven.
"Recognition by such a respected selection team of leading venture
capital firms validates our success to date and our future growth
potential."
Eleven, one of the earliest stage companies honored at the event,
has made significant strides since incorporating in early 2002. The
company’s software has been utilized to power high-speed Internet
access for organizations such as Kimpton Hotel Group and Oregon
Convention Center, and is nearing the close of its Series A financing
round of financing.
The 2004 Venture All Star companies were selected over a four-week
period from more than 125 nominations by a forty member Selection
Committee comprised of representatives from the region's top venture
capital funds such as OVP Venture Partners, Madrona Venture Group,
Ignition Partners and Northwest Venture Associates. Companies were
evaluated on their growth achievements to date, market potential,
management strength and financial backing.
