Local Company Defines Wireless Business in Nation's Most Unwired City

Sheraton Portland Airport, Vintage Plaza, and 5th Avenue Suites Choose Eleven Wireless for Commercial Wi-Fi

PORTLAND, Ore. (April 2, 2003)
-- Eleven Wireless, a leading provider of wireless broadband network solutions (also known as “Wi-Fi”), today announced that it has deployed Wi-Fi networks at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, Hotel Vintage Plaza, and 5th Avenue Suites Hotel. The local company has deployed six hotels in Portland alone, making it the leading provider of commercial Wi-Fi in the nation’s most unwired city.

New Eleven customers - Sheraton Portland Airport, Vintage Plaza, 5th Ave Suites - expect to see new revenue by offering wireless as an alternative to problematic and less convenient network solutions. Visitors to the hotels now have access to Wi-Fi in hotel rooms, common areas, and adjacent conference facilities.

According to a recent survey conducted by Intel, Portland ranked as the nations ‘Most Unwired City’ - the top market for wireless Internet accessibility - because of the region's growing number of wireless ‘hotspots.’ Eleven’s recent customer acquisitions reinforce the city's reputation and validate the demand for commercial Wi-Fi applications.

Eleven Wireless Leads Commercial Wi-Fi in Portland

“We’ve already experienced increased occupancy and conference business and expect that to continue by delivering more convenient broadband access to guests via Wi-Fi in hotel rooms and conference facilities,” said Jeff Clough, IT Manager of the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. “Network setup and ongoing management of Eleven’s wireless services offers us more benefits and costs less than traditional wired networks.”

“Eleven Wireless is committed to supporting our partner venues by increasing their revenues and enhancing their guest services with our Wi-Fi solutions,” said Josh Friedman, CEO of Eleven Wireless. “Eleven has built a solid business around delivering superior customer service and innovative software infrastructure to the Pacific Northwest hospitality industry. We are committed to maintaining this level of service as we support the industry nationwide.”

Eleven provides hotel customers with installation, ongoing management, and technical support for custom-branded wireless networks. By seamlessly integrating the network into property management systems, Eleven's software solution allows hotels to offer complimentary access, or charges for access via existing hotel bill or secure online credit card interface.
